The annual Jamboree competition between the Midlands, North, South and Scotland showed that the standard of senior golf remains as high and competitive as ever. The North hosted the event at Huddersfield GC. Strong wins over Scotland, the South and a loss to the hosts saw the Midlands Team finished 2nd by the narrowest of margins. The team - Lisa Barton, Sophie Beardsall, Julie Brown, Sarah Cranton, Helen Lowe, Sally Shayler, Sue Spencer and Tracey Williamson - played some amazing golf and showed great stamina on a very physically challenging course. It was a privilege and a pleasure to Captain the Jamboree team for the last 2 years. Retaining the Tony Moffat Quaich was a significant achievement.
